FAQ's

·        Do we have to be home when you clean?

A:  In most cases no.  Once you have approved our estimate and an appointment time has been scheduled, our technicians will arrive as scheduled and will have a work order for services to be performed.

·        What chemicals do you use to clean with?

A:  Great question!  It really depends on what we are cleaning and whether we are treating for stains.  For the most part, we like to use a diluted emulsifier and chlorine blended formula that has a fantastic 1-2 punch that lifts dirt, grime, grease, hydro-carbon residue, and airborne pollutants while killing mold, mildew and algae.  With a pH of about 11.8 to 12 in a 1% solution, this unique blend quickly & safely cleans, leaving a like-new finish every time!

·        What about damage to plants and vegetation?

A:  Damage to vegetation occurs when bleach is allowed to dry on the leaves causing burning.  We can tarp if you prefer, however we recommend wetting all vegetation before, during & after cleaning.  In a 1% solution, the chemical blend we use is so diluted it does not hurt plants when properly used & rinsed.

·        What causes the stripes in concrete after it has been cleaned?

A:  The “stripes” you refer to are a result of improper use of the surface (that round thing that looks like a floor buffer) cleaner and/or lack of proper chemical treatment.  Pressure Cleaning Orlando’s technicians are trained to avoid zebra stripes as if their job depends on it—because it does!

·        Can Pressure Cleaning Orlando get rid of the big oil stains on our driveway?

A:  Pressure Cleaning Orlando can remove the oil residue, and significantly lighten the area however carbon stains are inert and are not receptive to chemical cleaning compounds.  Sealing the concrete will prevent further damage.

·        We have this powder-crusty looking white stuff on our pavers, tile, grout, concrete, bricks.  What is it and can it be removed?

A:  Most likely you have a case of efflorescence.  Pressure Cleaning Orlando will give you a free analysis and estimate to remove and prevent its return.

·        We have black stripe marks on our gutters and facia. We have tried to clean them but they do not come off.  Can Pressure Cleaning Orlando remove them?

A: Our customers are amazed at how their gutters and facias look new again after we clean them with our specially formulated emulsifier.

·        We have never heard of sealing concrete before.  Why does Pressure Cleaning Orlando recommend it?

A:  There are multiple benefits to sealing your concrete.  For starters, it saves you money!  Concrete that has been sealed is stronger, resists cracking and will stay cleaner up to four times longer that concrete that has not been sealed.  Maybe that is why other pressure cleaning companies don’t mention it!  See Why seal my Concrete?

·        Why should we hire Pressure Cleaning Orlando when we can rent a pressure washer and clean our screen room, pool deck house and concrete ourselves and save money?

A:  In order to duplicate the professional quality cleaning job you receive from Pressure Cleaning Orlando, you will spend (if you factor in the cost of your time and the chemicals we use) more than you will renting equipment that is not commercial grade.  In addition, many times homeowners cause unwanted damage to themselves or their property due to inexperience with the equipment.

·        Another company gave us an estimate that looks better than the one we received from Pressure Cleaning Orlando.  Why should we pay more for the same service?

A:  We are not saying you should.  It is our policy to meet or beat any comparable estimate.  You will notice that Pressure Cleaning Orlando does not compare itself to other companies.  That is because we do not know of any company that uses the same chemical formulations and cleaning techniques that we have proven work best.  We have spent countless hours researching, talking with industry experts and testing chemical formulations from the top manufacturing companies to gain the knowledge that only a few in our business can match.  We know that you will not find a fully licensed and insured pressure cleaning contractor with the experience and knowledge we have that will do a better job for your money.

·        How often should we have our property cleaned?

A:  That really depends on a number of factors.  In Florida, the moisture and heat provide a perfect environment for mold, mildew, and algae to flourish.  We have customers that live in areas that are highly shaded that require cleaning more often than those in full sunlight.  On average, we recommend cleaning every year or two to prevent pollutant build-up that may not be as visible as green algae, but can cause premature wear to your property.
