What is the Sealing Process?

There can be variations to the sealing process depending on the type of sealer you choose.  Variables that can affect the outcome are most often material composition, surface condition, surface preparation, weather, and application technique. 

Pressure Cleaning Orlando will recommend the sealer(s) best suited for your application and budget and give you a FREE written estimate that will include all materials and labor as well as a time frame that the work will be completed.  

Once a start date has been chosen, Pressure Cleaning Orlando will prepare the surface for sealing with a thorough cleaning and treat stains as needed.  Most* sealers require the surface to be completely dry before sealing.  This usually requires one full day; however moisture retention and weather conditions can affect this.  During this time, we ask that traffic is limited to very light walking.  Assuming the surface has properly dried, the sealing will be done the next day.  Most sealers are sprayed as the results are more uniform and consistent.

When cleaning pavers for sealing, re-sanding may be needed.  If so, this is done before the sealing process begins. 

Drying or curing can be several days depending upon the sealer.  In most cases you will be able to walk on the sealed surface in a matter of hours. 

*V-Seal’s DPS Sealers can be applied while the surface is still damp and is fully usable the same day.
